During this time of great uncertainty, we have been comforted, encouraged, and humbled by the outpouring of generosity and support from our community. We are also honored to be doing the first annual Jason Pena Memorial tournament. We will be giving one Scholarship to Socorro County and two to Valencia county for High School Golfers under Jason Pena’s name. Jason was not only a dear friend but a proud Eagle golfer as well. With the work and donations from Remarkable people, friends, parents, family, local politicians, and small businesses we know our tournament will be a success. We Thank You for helping our program out. Our coaching staff and kids appreciate every one of you. It makes our entire program be proud of this school, community, and most of all to be an Eagle.

Family is very important to me. I have been married to my wife, Karen, for 30 years. I have two children and two grandchildren. I have coached football for 15 years and I am currently on my 3^rd year of coaching golf. One of my coaching philosophies is “Coach with humble gratitude as one privileged to be God’s coach.”

I am a Belen High School Graduate, where I played Varsity Baseball for 4 years and was Team Captain. I worked for the State of NM for 25 years and after retiring in 2012, I began my coaching career. I am in my 3^rd year of coaching golf. “Remember your successes. Believe in yourself and your abilities.”
